Liquid Applied Roofing System
Liquid roofing involves the application of a monolithic, fully bonded, liquid-based coating to a roof. The coating cures to form a rubber-like elastomeric waterproof membrane capable of stretching and returning to its original shape without damage.
Liquid applied roofing is a seamless, cold-applied system that eliminates the joints and seams found in traditional membrane roofing — the most common source of leaks. The coating bonds directly to the substrate, creating a fully adhered, watertight barrier across the entire roof surface.
The coatings can be applied over most traditional roofing materials, including felt, asphalt, bitumen, and concrete, making liquid applied systems an excellent choice for roof restoration and re-roofing projects where tear-off would be costly or disruptive.
Once cured, the elastomeric membrane is highly flexible, accommodating building movement and thermal expansion without cracking or splitting. It also provides excellent UV resistance and can be formulated in reflective white to reduce heat gain and lower energy costs.
Tamco Construction LLC installs liquid applied roofing systems for commercial and industrial buildings throughout New Jersey. Our certified applicators ensure proper surface preparation and application thickness for a long-lasting, manufacturer-backed installation.
